The Wkkkly has been run ning aloL fairly well for a good while without much out sid' advice as to how to run it. lr is strange, but sometimes a paper will pull along on little advice. However, it is now in receipt of a most lengthy letter from a man, far out in the coun try, who says he has been to Philadelphia, which the Week ly does not doubt. The advice is sodextrously written ard vio lently conflicting that the ab sence id a lighting editor, to win mi. it might be turned over, is seriously regretted. The Wi i.Ki.v is under many obliga tions to that writer, because the advice comes gratis, post paid and warranted to wear. The WtKKi.Y deeply regrets, ii such I"1 the case, that it should fce possessed of all the sole rights, titles, interests and heredita ments, lively, voluntarily and withr.m reward or hope of re ward, therein contained. But it has stood many things, and at this writing feels no change in its status quo. Kvery editor at the Press Convention with whom we talk ed about circulation and adver tising rates, and we talked about such with many, were surprised that the Wkkkly's advertising rates were not double what they a,v- lut they were more sur prised whe; they saw every business in town was not repre M'Med i jts columns. They 'i' not struck with Green ville's enterprise to see that a paper or l,8oo circulation asked idy sr,.-) a year per column.
